Tonesan Amissah is a Partner and member of the Telecommunications, Technology and Intellectual Property Team within the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group.

Tonesan has previously specialised in the formation and administration of corporate vehicles including local, exempted and permit companies and exempted general and limited partnerships. She was involved in drafting, reviewing and advising on the content and form of mutual fund prospectuses; documents for IPOs of shares, warrants and bonds for companies listed on international stock exchanges and also for private placements. Tonesan also has a vast amount of expertise in reviewing and drafting a multitude of agreements and documentation for financing transactions.

Tonesan joined the group as an Associate in the Company Department in 1989 practising securities and funds work. She became a Partner in 1998.

Tonesan was educated in Ghana and England. She studied law at the London School of Economics & Political Sciences, England, graduating in 1987 with a LL.B. Hons. She was called to the Bar in England in 1988 and to the Bermuda Bar in 1992
