Peter Bubenzer is the Group Managing Partner of Appleby. He is also a member of the Telecommunications Technology and Intellectual Property Team within the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group. He practices a full range of corporate/commercial law, specialising in advising on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, securities work including private offerings of debt or equity and public offerings of debt or equity of companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ and the Bermuda Stock Exchange, and telecommunication work (advising on regulatory issues and on the structuring and operations of telecommunication companies).
Peter joined the group as an Associate in the Litigation Department in October 1980. He transferred to the Corporate/Commercial Department in 1982, practising corporate law, but with a particular emphasis on securities and funds work. He became a Partner in December 1986. After several years as Head of the Corporate/Commercial Department's Fund & Investment Services Team (formerly, Securities Team), Peter became Head of the Corporate/Commercial Department in 1993 and became Managing Partner of the Group in 2002.
