Patricia Gordon Pamplin served in the Senate from November 1998 until March 1999, when she won a seat in the House of Assembly in a Paget West by-election. Since her election to Parliament, Mrs Gordon Pamplin has served as a member of the Private Bills Committee, the Public Accounts Committee and the Audit Committee. She was also Shadow Minister of Labour, Home Affairs and Public Safety.She was born in Bermuda in January, 1950, and at the Berkeley Institute and at the Bermuda College. She studied as an accountant at various schools in London, including the Central London College and the City of London Polytechnic. She is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and an Associate of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
Mrs Gordon Pamplin began her career as a bookkeeper at John W Swan Ltd in 1966. In 1972, she joined KPMG as an accounts clerk, and progressed to audit senior clerk upon qualifying. In 1984, she joined Skandia Insurance as a vice president and reinsurance operations manager. In 1994, she became vice president and controller at Belvedere Insurance Company. From 1992, when she was appointed to the Legislature, she was involved in private accounts consulting. In 2001, she became an account manager of Liberty International Management (Bermuda) Ltd.
