Johnny Barnes has become a Bermudian Institution. No matter what the weather, he stands at the Trimmingham Hill roundabout in Hamilton and waves to passers-by for five hours every morning.Born John James Adolphus Mills in 1924, he legally changed his name in 1997 and is also known as The Friendliest Man in Bermuda or Mr Feelgood.There is a life-size bronze statue of him adjacent to the roundabout and his portrait hangs in the Hamilton Visitor Service Bureau.
