David Astwood is a partner in the Corporate Department at Conyers Dill & Pearman in Bermuda.  His practice includes all aspects of commercial and corporate law with particular specialisation in ship finance and registration, project finance, telecommunications and oil and gas.A graduate of the University of Toronto, Canada (BA in Economics and Political Science) and King's College London, University of London, England (LLB), Mr Astwood was admitted as a Barrister and Attorney in Bermuda in 1993 and as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 1996.  He has been based in the Bermuda office of Conyers Dill & Pearman since November 1997 and prior to that spent two years in the firm's Hong Kong and British Virgin Islands offices.  He also spent two years working at Macfarlanes in London, England.Mr Astwood is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales (non-practising), the Bermuda Bar Association, and the International Bar Association.  He is also a Notary Public and a Commissioner for Oaths.
