Hamilton, Bermuda: Wednesday, March 14, 2007 - (Hamilton, Bermuda – March 14, 2007: The Bermuda Society of Arts (BSoA), Bermuda’s longest operating non-profit visual arts organization and serving as the first art gallery dedicated to emerging artists, today announced the completion of the anticipated gallery improvements. After months of preparation and weeks of sawdust, paint fumes and clutter, BSoA opens their doors on Friday, 23 March at the opening of the Spring Members Show. Through the kind generosity of two philanthropic organizations and several business giants, BSoA continues to fulfill their commitment of providing a professional venue for all artists regardless of skill level or economic means. The gallery improvements include two additional galleries, festive interior paint, signage and upgraded office equipment, communications and security systems. In recognition to ‘budding’ artists, the BSoA Board of Directors and Gallery Director, Victoria Evans-Cracknell are proud to introduce this innovative concept offering flexibility by creating two unique and completely portable boutique-sized mini galleries – ‘galleries with-in a gallery’. These new galleries, Studio A and Studio B each offer an impressive 300sf of hanging wall space. Together, the four galleries; Onions, Edinburgh, Studio A and Studio B offer local and international audiences a visual montage of new ideas from emerging and acclaimed artists - painters, sculptors and photographers. The official opening celebration will take place at the Summer Members Show opening on Friday, June 8.
