Brandi Travis joins Troncossi Public Relations

(Hamilton, Bermuda, March 13th, 2008) – Troncossi Public Relations, Bermuda’s only consultancy dedicated to public relations, today announces the appointment of Brandi Travis as a consultant, effective immediately.
In her new role, Ms. Travis will be responsible for advising on communication challenges, managing potential media crises, monitoring the media, writing press releases, newsletters and positioning statements, and liaising with the media as well as with clients. She will report to the managing director, Elizabeth Tee.
Prior to moving to Bermuda, Ms. Travis worked for three years as the director of communications for the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), a healthcare trade association based in Arlington, Virginia. Ms. Travis was also the associate editor for the healthcare trade publication Health Insurance Underwriter (HIU) for the association. During her time there, Ms. Travis handled several grassroots projects, in addition to the on-going national private healthcare campaign. Ms. Travis was not only an editor for HIU magazine, but also authored a monthly column for the publication on various healthcare issues, most often focused on wellness initiatives. She also worked very closely with industry-related publications for which she wrote several articles.
Before joining NAHU, Ms. Travis worked on Capital Hill for U.S. Congressman Ed Whitfield as staff and press assistant, working with the press secretary on several media issues, including his reelection campaign.
