Teaching unions have been invited to nominate members to join the Interim Education Board but, according to the Bermuda Union of Teachers (BUT), their nominee has been rejected by the Ministry of Education.
The unions have been critical of the Ministry, which they feel has excluded them from the reform process.
Yesterday Education Minister Randolph Horton confirmed that the BUT, the Association of School Principals and the Bermuda Public Services Union had been asked to submit names for consideration.
However, the BUT said their chosen representative had been rejected by the Ministry. No reason has yet been given.
