Robbers targeted an American couple visiting the island while they were waiting for a bus.
The incident happened around 5pm on Saturday at a bus stop on South Road in Warwick near Warwick Camp.
The visitors were approached by two unknown men, one of whom assaulted the 25 year old male visitor.
Both suspects then escaped on foot with the victims’ property consisting of a brown men’s wallet, a blue ladies purse, an Olympus digital camera, a quantity of cash and personal items.
The suspects are described as two dark skinned men, approximately 6’ tall of slim build with short hair cuts, wearing dark clothing.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
