The Ministry of Finance and Registrar of Companies have teamed up to create a guide to Bermuda real estate.
The Bermuda Real Estate Book - an In-Depth Guide to Bermuda Real Estate and the Licensing Exam provides information on real estate principles and laws specific to Bermuda.
In the past Bermuda real estate industry’s information and guidelines were based on the US and Canadian systems.
This guide is the first that deals specifically with the Bermudian system.
Written by author and educator John Morgan, it also includes general sample questions and test-taking tips for pre-licensing students.
Finance Minister Paula Cox said the initiative reflected the “Government’s commitment to empower and embolden the people of Bermuda, by making available to them the necessary tools for them to become effective, efficient and successful entrepreneurs”.
She added: “In essence, this Guide will prove a useful tool for local agents, licensees and those members of the public who are thinking about a career change to the real estate industry. Additionally, the Instructors in the industry will find this document a great benefit.”
