Charles Brown has appointed as the new Director of Sustainable Development.
Mr Brown, who took over his new duties on January 2, succeeds Erica Smith who left the post in late 2007.
Mr Brown joined the Government in 1995 as an Assistant Management Services’ Officer and was promoted to the position of Management Services’ Officer in 2002.
He was seconded to the Central Policy Unit at the Cabinet Office in January 2006, where he worked on numerous cross-Ministry initiatives.
In June 2006 he was appointed Acting Director of the National Drug Commission.
