The Evangelical Church of Bermuda will be hosting Bermuda's first all-day scrapbooking event next month.
The Love Of A Lifetime Scrap-a-Thon will take place on Saturday, February 16 and is inspired by the popular scrapbooking events that take place across the United States and the rest of the world.
“Our focus is more than just scrapbooking,” said event coordinator, Sara Westhead. “We want to provide women of all ages with the opportunity of fellowship with other women, to learn more about their hobby and to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Scrapbooking has become popular in recent years, particularly among those who want to preserve their family memories for future generations.
An offshoot of this trend is faithbooking, which allows women to record their family’s spiritual legacy as well as history.
The Love of A Lifetime Scrap-a-Thon will begin at 9am and continue until 5pm, and will cost $40 per person. Registration includes lunch, a gift bag, two classes and the opportunity to win one of several prizes in a variety of games and contests.
To register, contact the Evangelical Church of Bermuda’s office at 236-2294 or by emailing evangel@northrock.bm. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, February 6.
