God’s word is a mirror

Let us take a look at the Mirrors program. No! Not the one currently being run in conjunction with the Government.  I mean the ultimate Mirrors Program.

Often, Christians refer to the Bible as the best mirror there has ever been or ever will be.  For the Bible (the Mirror) allows each of us to take a close-up, real and unbiased look at ourselves.

Sometimes, God merely uses the Word of God to cause us to align ourselves with His will. This is why many Christians have a favourite memory verse. That verse stays at the forefront of our mind and reminds us how we should govern ourselves.

For example, my lifelong favourite scripture verse is: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.  This verse daily reminds me to focus on God first and then my focus on people and things will be correct. I am encouraged by this verse, for it means that I must not live this life to please humans (who can change their opinions of another daily), but to please God first and understand that in pleasing Him, He will allow His perfect will to unfold in my life. Hence, the Bible (the Mirror) allows me to know that I am on track, in seeking God and His Kingdom, before mankind and their kingdoms.

Sometimes, God uses another person as a mirror. Remember, when King David committed adultery with Bathsheba and also arranged to have her husband killed?  God used Nathan the prophet (as a mirror) for David to recognize that he was the man guilty of taking that one precious possession from another.

Then, God uses persons to preach His Word. This allows us to see ourselves and prayerfully choose to better ourselves according to the mirror of the Word. Many can testify to the convicting power of the Word of God and then the prevailing power of the Word of God to keep us in all of our ways.

As far as I know the Mirrors program of God’s Word has been around a very, very, long time. Many are shown the mirror; many hear the mirror; many sense the mirror, and still choose to walk away from the life that the mirror presents as good and abundant.  Yet, this Mirror’s program continues. Yes.  Though millions have rejected the Word of God, the Bible yet exists to be a help to those who choose to walk therein.

I was thinking. Isn’t it a good thing, that God does not “run” His Mirrors program according to the pass rate.  If He did, many of us would not have had the opportunity to succeed. In other words, the Mirror’s Program (the Bible) would have been dumped a long time ago.

Are you hearing me Bermuda? Let’s now look at the Mirrors Program currently being run by Government. Some have fussed about the pass-rate. I believe that if such a program can help one teen, then it has already helped a family, helped a neighborhood, and thus helped Bermuda.

Again, thanks to those involved in this program. I am praying your success. (If we save one, we have succeeded). I am also glad to hear of the start of a program focusing on the parents. All the best!
